The second European Citizenship Week took place in Prague, Czech Republic from 10 to 17 August 2013. More than 20 adult learners participated in this seminar.

Connecting old and new!

How participants from the previous project met the new participants? Our hosts for the day in Pardubice region were Kveta Sterbova and Viliam Kopecky who took part in Grundtvig partnership seminar in Luxembourg in March 2013. As other participants, they stayed in touch and once they got to know the dates of the seminar in the Czech Republic, they started making plans for the new group. Thanks to their contacts, we managed to be greeted by Pavel Sotola and most importantly visit, meet and discuss with local NGO in Chrudim. It was a great opportunity for the whole group to meet previous participants to discuss their experience and follow-up. We also believe it was a great way to inspire the “Prague team” how to stay active in the future! Thank you very much, Kveta and Viliam!

Participants’ impressions from the seminar

Grundtvig? Erasmus? Socrates? I was always confused by these names prior coming to Prague. A while ago I heard about some educational programmes by the EU, but never paid much attention. But then it has all changed. I came to Prague for the seminar within the_“Let’s build Europe together” project and I felt like Alice in the Wonderland. I loved every minute of it! The very first night we met for intercultural dinner – every group brought some typical food and drinks – I guess I will never forget how tasteful local things were and especially when they were accompanied by great stories from my new friends. We have had many workshops during the week.
